GEORGE H. KNOTT
George H. Knott is the senior shareholder of Knott, Consoer, Ebelini, Hart & Swett, P.A., and practices in the areas of commercial and construction litigation. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer and a Board Certified Business Litigation Lawyer.
George became a member of the State Bars of Georgia and North Carolina in 1982 and the Florida Bar in 1983. He participates in the Lee County Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. He is also a member of the Florida Bar Section for Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates.
George received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in Macon, Ga.
He has served as a Hearing Officer for the Lee County School Board, Board Attorney for the Lee County Construction Licensing Board, Officer and Director of the Lee County Legal Aid Society, Inc., Elder of the Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church, Officer and Director of the Greater Fort Myers Soccer Club, Committee Chairman of the Heights Elementary Cub Scout Pack, Member of the Board of Directors of the Lee County YMCA, District Chairman of the Panther District of the Southwest Florida Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, General Counsel to the Lee County Building Industry Association, Master in the Calusa Chapter of the American Inns of Courts, Member of the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Grievance Committee “A” of the Florida Bar, and a Member of the Judicial Nominating Commission for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit.
